happy day-after-valentines day! i wanted to release my lil projects yesterday, but that didnt happen. tragically i have missed my v-day deadline. SAD! but i dont want to trick myself into scope creeping into never releasing, soooo lets try for the 28th? Oh, it's a leap year isn't it? 29th perhaps? We'll see.

The truth is, programming has been going well, but i'm in graphics HELL right now! so many pixels!! here's a picture of one section of it, though, because i am very proud of the work i've done :3

i love that eyesore of a carpet! i wanted to tile it diagonally but i'll let it slide. perfectionism is progress-killer!, right? lately, ive been playing more and more escape room games, and a round or two of pixel flixel when im tired and just wanna zone out. I've just gone through AfroNinja's escape games series, which was a lot of fun! I appreciate classic escape games, even though i kind of feel like it's a dying genre. Ah, well. maybe my next project will be a fun, simple escape game :)

I did NOT watch the super bowl, but instead had a bowl of soup, which is close enough i think. we had a soup party and i made a very beany chilli. someone made purple potato soup and it was PURPLE! fantastic and sweet and purble :D i'm excited for winter to end but I will be sad when soup season has ended.

i'm looking for cool fun awesome rad songs to listen to on newgrounds! if you see me favouriting one of your songs: thank u for making it! i really like it! im working on a lil something, so if i'm allowed to, i may send a few musicians messages asking to use their music in a wee browser game i'd like to try and finish in the next few weeks.

how are you doing? anyone reading this? do you like room escape games? i'm not making a room escape game but i love playing them. i'm working through the submachine series right now, because there is no new gongtats for me ;-; so whenever im feeling tired of coding and staring @ my computer, i pop open a classic flash-based room escape game. but... then i spend MORE time using my brain and staring at my computer! something is not clicking...

im working in gamemaker 1.499999 and aseprite v1.3.2. getting lots of help from the gm discord too! i tried using cakewalk to make some tunes but i just dont have the brain for it. i'll spend more time in it when i'm not trying to get this lil browser game done.
